1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our Services in any way — including reading articles, creating an account, subscribing to newsletters, or posting comments — you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of all our Services immediately.
If you are using our Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Permitted Use
You may use our Services for lawful personal, non-commercial reading and information purposes. You agree not to:
- Reproduce, republish, or redistribute our editorial content without written permission.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content from our Services at scale.
- Use our Services to train, fine-tune, or build AI/ML models without a commercial licensing agreement.
- Circumvent any access controls, paywalls, or technical protection measures.
- Post spam, misinformation, hate speech, or content that violates applicable law.
- Impersonate HackerOutlook staff, editors, or other users.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, databases, or user accounts.
3. User Accounts
Certain features require a Cosmos account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity conducted under your account. You must notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised use at security@hackeroutlook.com.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our community guidelines, or applicable law — without prior notice in cases of serious violations.
4. Your Content
When you submit comments, letters, or other user-generated content to our Services, you grant HackerOutlook a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content in connection with our Services, including promotional materials.
You represent that your content does not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any applicable law. We may remove any content at our sole discretion without notice.
5. Intellectual Property
All editorial content, design, graphics, logos, and software on our Services are the exclusive property of HackerOutlook Private Limited or our licensors, protected under the Copyright Act 1957 (India) and applicable international treaties.
You may share individual article links and quote brief excerpts (up to 150 words) with clear attribution and a link to the original. Any other reproduction requires written permission from editorial@hackeroutlook.com.
6. Third-Party Advertising
Our Services display advertisements served by Google AdSense and other third-party networks. These advertisers may use cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party advertisers. Clicking on advertisements may take you to third-party websites governed by their own terms.
7. Disclaimers
Our Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. Editorial content is for general information and does not constitute professional medical, legal, financial, or investment advice. See our full Disclaimer for details.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, HackerOutlook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed ₹5,000 (Indian Rupees Five Thousand) or the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is greater.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to our Services at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, all licences granted to you under these Terms immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limitations) will survive.
